Is it possible to bring an archived Thread back to the Active section?

I was just trawling (not trolling) through some archived threads and found one that I could have contributed to but there isn't a Post Reply button.

I assume they are consigned to history.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Is there an EO rule that says that you can't post a new thread that relates to the old one ? e.g Re Thread number 1234 etc ?

If it's not possible, that's a good rule.

Why not 'copy/paste' only the relevant particulars of the post, use a similar 'heading' to maintain the integrity of the original post, so posters are aware it's 'archived' and your adding further relevant information not presently available there.
(just my thoughts)

Gone Bush,

Once archived they are locked from update. This occurs as we typically find that after 1 month the question has been answered - also after this period it is more evident that email addresses can become stale and the number of non deliverables increases at a great rate. So we allow posts to be updated for one month after they are loaded and then they are consigned to the archives.
